Civil Technologist
The opportunity:
Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Technologist to join our team in our Vancouver office. In this role, alongside engineers and other designers, you will be responsible for drawing production and design and data analysis. The team you will be joining is involved in a variety of projects ranging from access planning studies, roadway/highway design, pedestrian & trail bridges, resource bridges, condition assessments, site inspections, contract administration and much more.

What you’ll do:
- Provide strong technical capabilities using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for drawing production and design, as well as working with survey, LiDAR and GIS datasets.
- Apply and develop your skills using other software such as ArcGIS (or similar), Global Mapper.
- Alongside engineers and other designers, provide drafting, design, figures, maps, and data analysis for a variety of projects focused transportation and civil related infrastructure.
Does this sound like you?
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Experience in MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with field work such as topographic survey, and construction inspection is an asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules.
